Soooo, I’ve recently entered the DIY world and may need an intervention. My dining room table is covered with supplies and I am going to bedazzle, glitter spray and iron on something onto everything I own.
You’ve been warned.
I got the idea for the safety pin bracelet here (go check it out, she is my girl crush of the moment!) and thought it was a good way to start with jewelry making. Simple, easy and it doesn’t require any tools. I made these in about five minutes flat and made a necklace as well for fun. Give me another couple of days and I will be completely covered in safety pins.
But I digress.
I am also in the process of making this bracelet, here, and so far it is looking really cute! I’m having an epic war cutting the chain to complete it, but I’m gonna put on my big girl panties and dremel tool that sucker off.
Having an arm full of funky bracelets has been a trend for awhile now, but I never wanted to spend a lot of money on each item just for the sake of fashion. I love the idea of making quality looking pieces for a fraction of the cost and having fun in the process. My favorite part? Sitting with my daughter and playing around with all the stuff I bought. She played with the beads and made some “treasures” and I made the bracelets.
Tell me, what is your favorite DIY project?
