Miss Harper Elizabeth, 8 months
This precious girl is one little miracle. She is my best friend in the whole world/ met the first day of college/ sister wife for life’s little baby.
(Who is visiting us this week and we have not gotten dressed or taken off our sweatpants yet. We also may have consumed large quantities of wine.)
Harper came about after four years of struggling to conceive, 1 failed IUI and 2 IVF procedures. Multiple doctor visits, blood tests, nightly shots, daily struggles. She was so very wanted and loved for long before she was born and the fact that she exists in this world is reason to celebrate.
She is the apple of her mother’s eye.
She has cheeks for days and the tiniest feet.
She smiles constantly and blows raspberry’s in your face.
And possibly spits up on her auntie, who loves her to death anyway.
She is why I told Katie that there had to be a reason it was so hard to have her. She was meant to be. She was the baby that made my best friend a mama.
