Even my toe’s are festive.
This week my dad is in town and I’m cooking Christmas Eve dinner for my family. My husband is half Italian, so we have a huge Feast of the Seven Fishes. It’s a seafood pasta extravaganza.
(Though nowhere near the real thing my in law’s make up North!)
We’ll make cookie’s for Santa and sprinkle reindeer food outside that Brady made in school. It appears to be made out of popcorn and glitter. Even my lawn will be bedazzled.
After that Molly and Brady get to open one gift. They get new pajamas and a new ornament (Jake and the Neverland Pirate’s for him, Jasmine the princess for her), which they get to put on “their” tree. I’ll make homemade hot chocolate and we’ll watch The Polar Express on the couch in the dark, with nothing but the Christmas trees for light. It’s magic.
Tonight is one of my favorite nights of the year. So much anticipation! Every year just gets better and better. Having Molly and Brady in my life makes the season so amazing and I am so grateful to have them (and my family) to love.
