In my real life (you know, the world where I run after kids and do preschool pickups and wipe bums…) I like to dress up, but heels don’t really work out. Tall heels I should say. You’ll never get me out of my Target ankle boots. Never. I am such a heel girl, too! I used to teach second grade in four inch wedges and cute little shift dresses. Oh, the days…
I bought this dress last summer and lived in it. It is cotton-y and soft and swing-y. Dare I say it is shaped like a mumu? It has been ridiculously warm here the past couple of days and for some reason I completely forgot how to dress for warm weather. My scarily white body is repelling sleeveless tops I tell you. Thank goodness a cold front is coming. I have a new Zara sweater calling my name!
I love that this dress can transition from day to night with a quick change of shoes and a glitter belt. What can’t be made fun with a glitter belt? Especially the Target ones. This and my neon yellow one are my personal faves. They make any outfit better. These Lauren Conrad wedges were my impulse buy of the year. Anything that I can picture LC wearing (minus her Laguna Beach days) I will wear. I feel all retro and Betty Boop-like.
Now I just need a place to go now that I’m all dolled up. Any suggestions?
I really need to go see Les Miserables!
