My style collages!
So today, mama was in a rush. Which means I throw on my go-to look: boyfriend jeans, a slouchy top, ankle boots, a beanie (you don’t want to know how bad my hair looked underneath!) and fun jewelry. Nine times out of ten this is my uniform when I want to run a lot of errands or I am in a hurry. I swap out different tops and add in some bright lipstick and I feel good.
One of my fun trips today was to Target and they have some great things in right now! I scored the sunglasses, sandals and heels above. Sparkly things just make me happy, you know? One way I figure out what things I want to get to update my Spring wardrobe is by making a collage. My magazines come in the mail and I clip out pictures of outfits or beauty details that I want to try. This keeps me on track when I hit the stores and keeps me from going (too) crazy and buying things I don’t really need.
These are some of the things I am loving right now:
I really love these polka dot jeans, these floral ones and these tie dye ones. I want to wear them with a slouchy grey tee and cool sandals. And a hair wrap! I just bought these from Brickyard Buffalo.
I need a pair of casual slip on shoes that would look great with cut off jeans shorts and skinny jeans. I have been eying Tom’s for awhile and have narrowed it down to the grey, the ikat or the orange. What do you think?
Now on to Madewell…which I admit is a bit of a splurge for me. I love the quality and if I could transplant myself into the store and become Madewell I would. I feel exactly the same way about the J Crew catalog…those are my people. I could paste the walls of my closet with J Crew and Madewell cutouts. Weird?
I love cardigans and feel like they can completely finish any outfit. I have a mustard one and a striped one that I wear constantly. A great cardigan is a game changer in my opinion! I love this triangle printed one, the pattern is fun and the colors would work with anything.
This sweatshirt sweater in neon pink is cute (and on sale!
This polka dot tank is adorable, and I’m a sucker for polka dots, and it would go with everything I own. ‘Nuff said.
This is the most perfect chambray shirt I have ever seen.
Cute, retro sunnies to wear with a head wrap and denim cutoffs in the summer.
If you put an arrow on it, I will buy it. Dying over this necklace!
I am digging this bow ring. Pretty!
I like the elephant and the amethyst (Molly’s birthstone!) on this pendant, one of my favorite types of necklaces. Long necklace’s make every outfit look better.
So tell me… how do you get inspired for Spring? Are you a planner like me or a fly by the seat of your pants gal (or guy? Dad??)
