Much love illy headband
My weekend in (mostly) small little manageable bites!
-My Mother’s Day gift was my very first pair of nice sunglasses. Ones that actually block the sunlight. I know! I have never owned a pair over $12 from Target and let me tell you, my mind is blown by polarized lenses. The colors! No glare! Go figure, huh? Mother’s Day is one of the only holiday’s I get a gift (that and my birthday!) Anniversary’s, Valentine’s Day, Christmas…those are for little getaways or date nights or family vacations. I get to splurge a little on this day and it sure was fun. I may or may not also treat myself during the 3,485 trips I take to Target on a yearly basis…
-My husband left for a work trip Sunday morning, so I ended up heading to the grocery store alone with the kids. I was busy bagging my groceries (where ARE all the bag boys nowadays??) and when I turned around to check on my kids I saw Brady driving one of those motorized carts. You know, the ones reserved for older folks that have trouble getting around? I almost died. Imagine me quickly paying, then having to reverse that sucker into its spot again while it loudly beeps and everyone watched. Lets just say that we left IMMEDIATELY.
-Do you ever eat right next to people at a restaurant (Chili’s) and discover that they have the weirdest mannerisms and you have to fight not to stare at them the whole time? Just me?
-I spent about 5 hours of my life
that I will never get back searching for the perfect bathing suit cover up online this weekend. I found one! More details this Friday!
-Okay, on to the BEST pin I have ever seen before. See that little girl up there holding the sign? Have you ever seen anything funnier? I love it because it will probably happen to me someday with Molly. Did I ever told you that she told me and my husband one day that she would be back, “quick as a d&*k?” We almost died. She was learning to rhyme and it took everything I had to not laugh. We just kept looking at each other and saying, “Did she just say….?” She repeated it for about a week before I had to tell her to stop and explain WHY she couldn’t say it. It was an, “I love my whore family” moment.
-Those other two pins are a hair style I want to try for summer and a combo I adore, studs and spikes. Loooooove.
-I got to go to two Mother’s Day celebrations this week, one at each of my children’s schools. I have to say, if you have small children there is nothing more exciting then to see how happy they are to make you adorable crafts and sit next to you at their school tea parties. I was spoiled with pictures and cards and I felt very loved. Sharing headbands with the little girl who made me a mama is a memory that I cherish. I just adore my babies!
Tell me, how was YOUR weekend?
