Fact: If you put a stud or spike on it I will most likely purchase it. Which is sort of funny, because I am a girly girl through and through. My bedroom is currently pink and aqua blue and I adore anything polka dotted, ruffled or bedazzled. BUT, I love wearing black, studs and edgy stuff, too. Talk about confusing. I can’t wait to wear this cardigan (bought at the Nordstrom sale!) as well as the one above this Fall…or now, as Michigan summer feels like Fall…)
The perfect distressed boyfriend jean. To wear with boots, heels, sandals….anything? Or every outfit that I pin on Pinterest.
I mentioned before that I hated my wedding, right? I mean, I had fun and love being married (nine years this October!), but there were so many elements that just weren’t me. I think it is part getting married young (barely 24) and not knowing myself or standing up for what I wanted. We have always talked about renewing our vows and we decided to do it on our 10 year anniversary, which is a little over a year from now. One of my biggest regrets was not liking my dress, so I’ve been searching for the perfect one. Have you seen the Vera Wang collection at David’s Bridal? I mean, I need a princess moment. Perhaps even a pink princess moment (reference the girly girl in me from above.) Can you even with this dress up there?
I’m a big fan of the retro cat eye, but haven’t ever really mastered creating the look on myself. It always ends up looking like I got punched in the face (and let’s not even start on the smoky eye thing, either.) I love the look above with the red lip and simple, clean look of the cat eye and then I found this pin above where it shows how to create the look. It works! I practiced the other night and it was easier than I thought with the trick of drawing the line first from the corner of the eye. I used an angle brush and my Urban Decay Naked Palette, then drew over the line with a liquid liner. Love.
You know what I really love? Meeting new people in roundabout ways (friend of a friend, you know the drill…), and they also happen to sell super cute jewelry. I received these dainty rhinestone bracelets last week from Ariel via Chloe and Isabel and love that they were petite and not heavy. I hate wearing heavy jewelry as it just makes me feel too cluttered and weighed down, you know? I am a minimalist jewelry person at heart and these bracelets worked for me. A little sparkle with little effort. Love.
Ariel was kind enough to let me host a little pop up shop August 12-15th where I got to pick out all my personal favorites from Chloe and Isabel. Gosh that was fun picking that stuff out! You can visit the shop HERE. Bonus: If you spend $30 you will be entered into a raffle to win the bracelets above OR get $25 off a purchase of $75. Fun, right?
