I have a love/hate relationship with cooking. Meal planning, grocery shopping, the pressure to come up with something fresh and new constantly? Not fun. To me, a meal that is quick and easy and tasty is perfection to me. I love cooking homemade soups like Sausage and Vegetable (sausage, green beans, crushed tomatoes in chicken stock) is my current chilly day favorite, as is Tomato (crushed tomatoes, chicken stock and a swirl of cream.) I almost always have a pot of soup in the fridge and I’m not above eating it for every meal for a week. Add in a great piece of bread drizzled in olive oil with a little salt and pepper and I am one happy girl.
I read a lot of different blogs, but the one I most look forward to is The Daybook. I just love her aesthetic and have followed her for about two years and enjoy her journey.
Hmm, the one thing? I have a pair of black skinny jeans I bought at Old Navy two years ago and they almost have a legging like feel. They are soft and I can pull them on and off without unbuttoning them, yet they still have the structure of a pant. I think Old Navy changed their fabrication on their pants, because I haven’t found another pair exactly like mine since I bought them. My favorite way to wear these is with a long, tunic-y type top and neutral boots. Boring, but it makes me feel put together and comfortable!
Stop it, this isn’t even close! I would say coffee 100%. I adore coffee and think there is no better feeling than having that first sip on a chilly morning while it’s still dark outside. Funny enough, when I was pregnant with both of my children the thought of coffee nauseated me. I couldn’t stand the thought of it and (thankfully!) it went away after the first three months.
I love taking photos of events and finding new, interesting ways to capture moments. I will say though, since I’ve had this blog and taken a zillion photos of myself I have become more comfortable in front of the camera. I always love having pictures of me and my children, as it always seems that I am taking photos of them and other people in our family and looking back at their baby pictures I am pretty absent:)
When I was younger I always wanted to live in the city and work in the fashion field. I’m not a real “outdoor” girl and I think the lack of outdoor space wouldn’t bother me. However, I think my true love would be to live in a rambling farmhouse in the country, sort of where I live now. With a Target close by and enough fun places downtown to have a great night out. I love the energy of a city and visiting, but I’m pretty sure I’m a country girl at heart.
Okay, so I am not a car person. Nice cars don’t impress me and I can be made happy with something simple. I currently drive a Chevy Trailblazer and it works for me. I personally love an SUV and if I had to choose it would be a brand new Chevy Traverse I guess? Boring, but true:) In black of course, I love a black car.
Now on to the ladies I want to nominate and my questions for them! I nominate Hooah and Hiccups, Two Thirds Hazel, Just Dawnelle, Lipgloss and Crayons and Mommy in Heels!
