c/o Bare Minerals Moxie lipstick in Lead the Way
This lipstick was in the massive gift bag I received at Lucky fabb and I could not be more in love with it. It is creamy and smells like mint and seems really decadent and lush. Perhaps I’m just used to drugstore lipsticks, but the formula on this is to die for and I am obsessed with the deep burgundy wine color of it. It isn’t for the faint of heart, but this time of year I love a dark lip as my face reaches the vampire level of paleness and I need a little pick me up. I completely, 1000% recommend.
This is the moment I realized that it was 35 degrees, the wind was ripping the warmth from my soul and I was standing on the shores of Lake Michigan in a sweatshirt and thin pants. Time for a jacket, perhaps?
c/o Yosi Samra studded flats
Old Navy sweatshirt; Zara pants (similar); Target hat and bag (stop it with this studded backpack); gifted necklace (I won it in a giveaway!) Ciao Bella Boutique.
These flats were part of the gifting suite at Lucky fabb as well (pinch me please, right?) and I have worn them almost every day since. You know me, I am a Target shoe girl and I have a hard time spending more on anything. I never find styles from more expensive brands that I can’t find for less somewhere else, but these loafer style flats are sort of amazing. I’m learning, slowly but surely, that some things are worth splurging on. I’m picky about my lotions and scent and spend more on hair extensions and workout sneakers, but not much else. Yosi Samra has beautiful, comfortable flats in cute and edgy styles. They have really nice padding and and have a good combination of stretchy fabric, yet good structure. I’m not going to lie, they are more expensive than anything I typically link and I would consider them a splurge. If you are in the market for stylish and really comfortable shoes, I would recommend this company. I also adore these coral, cap toe flats and these leopard and chain t strap flats.
c/o Too Faced Better Than False Lashes Mascara
I’ve tried this mascara twice since receiving in and I have mixed feelings. It comes with two steps, the mascara itself and then a step where you apply a coat of fibers that cling to your lashes and extend them. You then apply a second coat after the fibers and you have amazing lashes. And you do! They look long and appear pretty fabulous. Mine practically touched my eyebrows. However, I found the formula sticky and after awhile your lashes sort of stick together and clump up. If you wear this and then take a nap and wake up, you will have lashes that are stuck all together in weird lumps and feel really weird, I promise. I would recommend this mascara for a date night or something dressier where you want the impact of amazing lashes, but won’t be wearing it for a long time. Other than that, it isn’t an ideal daily mascara choice.
