Winter has arrived here in Michigan, my first since 2002 and I may or may not have almost driven into my neighbors yard while my kids yelled “this is fun!” from the backseat. I almost had a heart attack, but we’re good! Ha. I’ve also realized I am not really set when it comes to winter dressing and playing in the snow. I’m in the market for a pair of snow pants and some warm boots. And some gloves may help, too! I have a cute, studded fingerless pair from Target and they only work for the 6 seconds I want to look cute and all before my fingers freeze. I’ll never learn. In addition to my picks above, I’ve been eyeing a couple of other things that I could use your help on.
Sorel boots. I’m obsessed! Not only are they cool and popular (bonus), but I’ve read tons of reviews and they seem like they will be really warm. I’m torn between a taller, fur lined pair and the shorter, neon laced ones. Thoughts?
These Minnetonka Mukluk’s may be impractical, but how cute would they look with patterned leggings and a slouchy sweater?
I need a pair of Hunter boot socks since wearing them without in the snow is NOT GOOD. Lesson (maybe?) learned. How cute would the teal blue cable knit ones look with my black boots?!
Is it just me or is it really annoying that practical items like down jackets are so expensive? I love a fun and fashionable coat and all, but sometimes you just need to be warm and warm coats cost money (boooooooo.) I really love the furry hood on this long, down filled jacket. It’s pricey, but would be worth it, I think.
Lastly, this bag has nothing to do with keeping warm except it is so cozy looking and I’m sort of in love with everything The Agate Mermaid has in their shop. I saw them earlier this week featured on Casey’s blog, she rocked the bag herself (as always!) Obsessed.
P.S. Tune in tomorrow for a HUGE giveaway!
