I currently like two kinds of boots. Short booties that can go edgy and freeze my ankles off or knee high ones with an equestrian feel. I love that Ariat boots have an Equestrian heritage, which means I look like I know what I’m doing in the “dress like I’m Kate Middleton in the English countryside” kind of way without actually having any horse riding knowledge. I feel very classic in these, like I’ve thrown these gorgeous boots on for a walk to the stables. Have I ever mentioned that I’ve never actually owned gorgeously well made, real leather boots before? I mean, I have a lot of nice shoes, but they are the cheap ones that look great and eventually fall apart and then I go out and buy more. These boots aren’t like that.
The Equestrian heritage of Ariat is infused in the designs of all of their boots. They design top of the line boots for people that ride in real life, as well as those of us that just want to pretend we can ride;) I love the little details on all their boots, such as hand stitching, the awesome feel of the leather and the buckles that were on my particular pair of boots. I also loved the mix of black and brown in the York boots I’m wearing, they had a different version with brown on the bottom with black accents at the top as well. Love. Fun fact! I have abnormally large calves and have a really hard time finding boots to fit right. These boots had stretchy inserts that helped them fit and zip up and didn’t feel like a sausage casing on my legs all day. Bonus.
Let’s see, what other pretend situations can I dream about and style some boots, shall we?
I am a total country music loving gal and there’s something about a girl in cowboy boots, worn blue jeans and a worn in white tee that makes me happy.
These brown ankle boots would look amazing with grey skinny jeans and a slouchy sweater, one of my fave looks.
I guess I just got on the pretend bus and rode it on into imagination town, huh? I’ll stop now. Happy weekend, friends!
