Target plaid shirt and hat; Old Navy jeans; Hunter boots; Ray Ban sunnies; ℅ Lisa Leonard necklace; gifted faux fur coat (similar.)
I had an epiphany the other day. I’ve been on a search of sorts for longer length tops that seem to be missing from the stores. Why is this difficult? I mean, I don’t want my bum hanging out in skinny jeans, you know? They’re like leggings! Must hide the bum! I was walking through Target the other day and saw a shirt to end all shirts in the men’s section. It was made of delicious, soft as a babies’ behind flannel and had the perfect amount of slouch and it sort of melts on your skin. I sat in front of the rack and debated for about 10 solid (kid free) minutes about what color to get. It was tough. The black and white version almost won, but in the end I went for the classic red plaid, being that it IS snowing and all holiday like, you know? So anyway, that’s my epiphany. If you want an amazingly soft, perfectly slouchy, covering the bum top, just shop in the men’s section of Target. You’re welcome;)
On another note, I wanted to take a second and say how much I truly appreciate all of you that show up and read what I have to say on a daily basis. Blogging is funny. I started this site back in April of 2011, and little by little I have grown a readership that forces me to create the best content that I can on a daily basis. I try to write for myself and for you, working through issues that affect me and sharing what is on my mind. I want this to be a real place, full of life that isn’t always sugarcoated and full of unrealistic expectations. I’m a mother, who shops at Target and loves a bargain and makes a zillion mistakes and (hopefully) learns from them. I appreciate every single comment, every email and anyone that reaches out through social media. Connecting with you brightens my day, and on this eve before Thanksgiving I just want to say, thank you. From the day when I had one reader (Love you, Dad!) to today, it has been a blast. Looking forward to many more posts and having you there with me, pushing me beyond my comfort zone and cheering me along. Stick with me, mmmkay?
