It’s the most wonderful time of the yearrrrrrrrrrrrr ! To gift things to yourself.
Did I just say that?
Question: Who out there can go Chistmas shopping and NOT buy something for themselves? If you’ve raised your hand we can’t be friends anymore. (Seriously. I’m in awe of you.) I recently picked up a super warm coat at Old Navy last week, just in time for 7 inches of snow and a high temperature of 9 degrees. It was on sale! I had to! And who else gets suckered into those kiosks by the register with super fun things to buy while you”re waiting in line? This fleecy bit of heaven made it home, too. Then I ended up returning the gifts I did buy that day (my husband doesn’t like sweatpants? Clearly this relationship cannot go on…), so I guess my Old Navy trip ended up being all about me. Happy Holiday, to me? Ha.
On that note, how about a little gift guide dedicated to all the things I love that could work for the women in your life, too. I’m not above a little emailing of what I love directly to the love of my life either. That way I avoid a Christmas filled with the odd things he may come up with. Trust me, he likes being led in the gift giving area. I promise I’ll act surprised as well.
Why you shouldn’t have! How DID you know?
