Forever 21 kimono (similar, similar); Target palazzo pants (similar) and sandals; ℅ Les Lunes bodysuit; Saint Eve Jewelry bracelet.
Back in the dark ages (1992!), I attended a seven grade school dance wearing a bodysuit. I swear, I can remember it like it was yesterday! The music (Red, Red Wine by UB40), the darkness of the gymnasium, dancing approximately one foot away to a slow song with sweaty handed boys…it was the good ‘ol days;) I had borrowed one of my mom’s bodysuits to wear to this particular dance. It was cream colored, long sleeved, and skin tight. I developed early (to my horror, because one one wants DD breasts at that age, right?!), and the bodysuit probably clung a little bit tighter than is decent. But! I paired it with light wash, high waisted, (probably peg leg) jeans, just like I saw Brenda and Kelly wearing in 90210, and I felt amazing. You know that feeling, when you are just on the cusp between childhood and early teens, where the world is so full of mystery and awesome things to be discovered? I remember seventh grade being like that. I loved reading YM magazine and drooled over the model twins Nikki and Krissy (RIP) Taylor, spent hours on end analyzing 90210 and all that was Brenda and Dylan (I’ll never accept him and Kelly), and discovering that the boys I had grown up with my whole life were all of a sudden REALLY CUTE. I look back and see all the innocence and fun and joy.
Fast forward twenty or so years and now I’m the mom who may own a bodysuit that my child could potentially borrow someday (and isn’t THAT scary, yikes.) Except this one is one thousand times better than anything I could have worn back in the day. It’s softer, has beautiful mesh cutouts for a pretty (yet not X rated) peekaboo effect, and looks really rockin’ with palazzo pants and a kimono. #winning
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Les Lunes before (see One Surefire Way to Spice Up Your Relationship), and I am continually surprised by how wonderful their pieces are. I have a hard time lately wearing creepy (read: cheap) fabrics, especially when the weather heats up. Les Lunes’ clothes are cashmere soft and made with bamboo, so they feel yummy on. I have these anti gym shorts from them, too, and have worn them constantly around the house. They’re sort of my Summer version of yoga pants. I would even throw on a pair of wedges and dress them up. Seriously!
Part of the fun of working with awesome companies like Les Lunes is being able to offer a chance for YOU to experience the softness and pure comfort of their clothing and lounge wear. I’d like to consider myself a connoisseur of lounge wear, as I DO wear it 50% of the time (at home only! Okay, and at Wal mart, too…), so let’s just say, this giveaway is AWESOME.
The giveaway will be live for a week, is open to US residents only, and you can ENTER BELOW.
