Last weekend we enjoyed the unexpected, ongoing Summer weather and went and picked apples together! Despite a near lost moment in a corn maze (that thing was DEEP!), we had the best time picking apples, shooting apples out of a cannon, playing in the cutest barn strung with Christmas lights, and eating delicious pumpkin donuts.
As for this weekend, my husband and I are leaving the kids for a night with friends (!), and going to a nearby resort to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We are going to a fancy-pants dinner that night and I am really looking forward to dressing up and enjoying some alone time with my love. I also can’t wait to wear this black midi dress and channeling my inner Audrey Hepburn;)
Here are some other things I have been enjoying this past week:
This isn’t a video, but you may die laughing over this series of explanations about why kids cry over nothing. I KNOW I’ve lived through about half of these!
In case you are an Outlander freak like me (!), a hilarious recap of the last episode.
As you know, Megan and I have been doing a really fun collaboration with Lulu*s about the fun Fall trends out there. This next four installments are going to be so awesome! I can’t wait to share this knit sweater dress, this floral maxi, and these sassy ankle boots.
I’ve bought jewelry from the The Shine Project before, and love their mission to employ inner city youth. My next purchase is definitely going to be this feather bracelet set, and this mantra necklace (inscribed with mama!)
I love this post about 5 tips for shopping at Forever 21 (from a former employee!) I don’t know about you, but that store completely overwhelms me 98% of the time, so I need all the help I can get.
Right now blogging seems really quiet, right? I love these tips for how to thrive when business/blogging is slow.
This perspective on how having a spouse at home is a luxury to their partner is really eye opening! I swear, it takes some of the guilt off of me as to my purpose, especially with the kids in school part time.
And in case you missed it…
Some of the things I’ve majorly messed up on lately.
and, How to match your dad….seriously;)
