It’s been CRAZY around these parts this past week, with anniversary celebrations continuing, and the kids (and I!) busy with school and soccer and endless doctor appointments (ugh, antibiotics AGAIN!)
This week I’ve been working on being a bit more strategic with my online life, tackling tasks more efficiently and turning off my phone and computer more. I don’t know about you, but being available at all moments of life can exhaust me, so I am tuning out more and trying to find balance. I’ll let you know if I find that anytime soon;)
On that note, I’ve found some GREAT things out there this week that I think YOU will love, so let’s get to it!
Jennifer Garner is the cutest thing on earth, am I right? I found two clips of her that made me laugh, (and adore her even more.) I love her reason why she probably wasn’t invited to the Clooney wedding, as well as her excuse for always having that ever present baby bump (hint: it isn’t what you think!)
I’m getting my hair cut and colored next week (holy dark roots!), and I’m contemplating a long bob type style. Other than pinning a zillion different pictures to show my hair stylist, I found a great video on how to beach wave shorter hair with a straightener. I’m intrigued…
I don’t know what rock I’ve been hiding under, but I just discovered Jen Hatmaker and her book 7. It details seven ways she tried to make her life better, and have less noise and excess. I admit, my interest is piqued, and I’m thinking of trying some of her suggestions. I HIGHLY recommend this book!
Why reading an ACTUAL BOOK is good for your brain. I do read both types, I truly love the convenience of my Kindle Fire, but have many books that I either take out from the library, or already own and re-read a lot. Which do YOU prefer?
Have you heard of the young woman with terminal brain cancer who is choosing her own death date? I admire her decision and can’t imagine having to decide this myself, but I wonder…would I choose this, or let nature decide for me?
I keep buying sweaters at Old Navy! I’ve bought this in black and ivory (I size up to ensure proper slouchiness!), and also have a striped version, too. How many sweaters are TOO MANY?
How CUTE is my pregnant friend, Ashley, as she models three ways to wear one outfit?! I WISH I had looked as good as she does when I was pregnant;)
Un-Fancy still makes me want to try a capsule wardrobe. Are you intrigued as well? Do capsule wardrobes and non-minimalist blogs WORK?
Tell me, which article, item… little tidbit above, intrigues you most?
Happy weekend, friends;)
