I’ve been spending waaaaay too much time on Pinterest lately, cultivating my style boards and really trying to figure out WHAT I want to buy this spring and WHO exactly I want to be. I’d like to think my style is something that evolves according to what and who I want to be, and does not tend to fall into a formula or one particular genre. YET, when I really dissect what I like and what I want to look like this spring, I see a theme. And that theme is 70’s boho.
I see a theme of flowy white tops, lots of crochet and lace and boho inspired tops and dresses. I see 70’s inspired clogs and sandals, more (yes!) kimonos in pretty patterns, lots of fringe, and air dried hair. Layered jewelry and beaded bracelets up the arm, mini braids and round sunglasses. There’s an ease to dressing in the warmer months, and I thrive on that.
On that note, Forever 21 seems to have scooped this entire mentality out of my brain and transplanted itself into its spring collection. And that make me amazingly happy! Because not only is it seriously accessible, but it’s also easy on my budget. I believe in a splurge now and then, but I also adore a great deal (and buying multiple items at once.) For some reason it feels wrong to just purchase one thing at a store…I always have to get at least two or more items…or nothing at all. Is that weird?
Tell me, what is your style going to look like this spring?
