Invariably at this time each year, all of social media and the blog world is inundated with Coachella style. I think Festival/Boho style can be a love it or hate it way to dress. I mean, you either like it or you don’t. (We all know which side I stand on, right? Ha!) While I have no problem draping myself in floral kimonos and floral crowns to go to the grocery store, this look can get crazy fast. What I especially love about looking through photos of Coachella and other festivals is that anything goes, and the more you pile on the better. MORE fringe, MORE floral crowns, MORE flash tattoos, more EVERYTHING. It’s the grown up version of extreme dress up, is it not?
I tend to dress like this as the weather warms up on a daily basis. (I’m essentially turning into my mother circa 1976, is what’s really happening. Hi mom!) I feel free spirited and comfortable in flowing dresses and lightweight kimonos. I may be a suburban stay at home mama in her early thirties, but I think anyone can dress in a way that makes them happy, regardless of age or circumstance. This is me and I love embracing my inner hippie.
Lulu*s has been on par this Coachella season with so many awesome options to not only wear to the festival, but to incorporate into your daily life (if you are a free spirited dresser like me!) My favorite is their Festival Essentials category, some of which I picked out for your enjoyment below. I DARE YOU not to fall in love;)
I adore these Billabong tie dye pants.
The most perfect black maxi dress that would be the building block of a zillion awesome looks.
This off the shoulder, white embroidered dress. Ahh-mazing.
A delicate dream catcher bracelet.
When this chambray maxi skirt comes back in stock, it is MINE.
Tye dye maxi dress. Yes, please.
Fringe for dayzzzz on this cross body bag.
Loving these floral Birkenstock look-alikes!
Tell me, do you enjoy Festival style, or is it too crazy for you?
