℅ Gentle Fawn River dress; Sam Edelman Petty boots; Alex and Ani Feather and Snake bangles; Baublebar pendant (super cute option!)
This dress? Where do I even start? It came in the mail literally the night before the kids and I were heading out of town for eleven days (the husband had to stay back for a work trip, boo!) I had our bags packed and ready, with our clothes laid out for the next morning (which included a 5:30am take off time, OUCH.) The second I opened the package up, I knew. It’s a slip dress, but so much more. With a draw string to adjust how low the back goes (I chose higher up with a simple bralette underneath for a day with the kids!), and straps that can adjust, I felt this dress could be worn a bunch of different ways.
I’m not going to lie, I wore this dress five out of the ten days I was on vacation. It has that ability to look a little dressed up and pulled together, yet with flip flops it can totally go to the beach and be very, very casual. I wore it driving from New Hampshire to Plymouth, Massachusetts with the kids, as well as hanging with my college friends and all of our assorted children. It’s blousy and loose, with a high low hemline, perfect for wearing with sandals OR cute boots. I can see myself wearing it with opaque tights when it gets cooler, with a slouchy knit cardigan for warmth. I am in complete love, can you tell?!
My personal thoughts on Gentle Fawn and the clothing they offer is that the quality is amazing. The fabrics are substantial and never cheap feeling, and all the little details that you want in a piece of clothing is there (adjustable straps, a non polyester liner, etc.) I have a couple of more pieces to show off as the month rolls on and I can’t wait to share them with you! Think gorgeous, chunky sweaters, and cooler than anything printed pants. Stay tuned!
