Reading: I tend to read romance novels in bulk via Kindle Unlimited, with sports romance topping my list! This month for book club we are reading the 3rd Bridget’s Diary, and I am working my way through Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic.
Eating: I tend to find something I like to eat, and then eat that same thing for months on end. Right now I eat almonds for breakfast (I grab a handful while heading out the door), and cheese and crackers for lunch (with Kashi crackers, a bit of lunch meat cut into squares, and sharp cheddar.)
Cooking: It is soup weather where I live, so I have been making ALLLL the soup on the Pioneer Woman’s website. My favorites were this Hamburger soup, this Roast Pumpkin Soup, and this 7 Can soup.
Buying: Ha, I am always buying SOMETHING:) I recently donated all of our mismatched dishes that we’ve had since before we got married and upgraded to the dishes the Pioneer Woman designed via Walmart (YES, Walmart.) I bought this white lace dinner set, a bunch of these different patterned bowls, a mix of these plates, and a ton of the pretty glasses and a hodgepodge of different patterned coffee mugs. I’m in love.
As for clothes, I have been continuing to drool over the Free People website! I ordered this lace inset top and this flower tunic. I am debating over this sale dress as well. Should I???
Smelling: I buy all of my candles at Walmart, because they are inexpensive and they smell AMAZING. My current fave is Better Homes’ Sweet Pumpkin Pastry. YUM.
Seeing: Fall is in full effect right now where I am, and I can’t help but admire how completely awe inspiring and gorgeous it is around here. I have never seen a more beautiful Fall than right here in Northern Michigan, and I am so, so lucky to live here.
Enjoying: Natural Bliss Pumpkin Spice creamer in my Keurig brewed McDonald’s coffee. I am an ‘at home’ coffee drinker 90% of the time, and this is exactly what I drink first thing in the morning. It is DELISH.
Watching: I hate scary movies, so most of what is aired around this time of year is not anything I watch, but the kids and I love all the Halloween specials that come on tv that are made for them. It’s not Halloween without Charlie Brown and a little Toy Story of Terror.
Creating: We still haven’t gone to the pumpkin Patch to get our pumpkins because of a couple last minute busy weekends, but we hope to go this week and grab some pumpkins so we can paint them! We have exclusively carved them in the past, but this means we carve them while they watch as they are too small to wield a sharp knife. I think we will carve one and paint the rest, I hope it goes well! (I’m looking at this design for mine!)
Thinking of: The nights are definitely getting cooler, so it is almost time to switch our summer weight quilt for our winter one. I’m a huge fan of the Shabby Chic bedding line at Target.
Wanting: A big ‘ol glass of red win tonight! I’ve been working on cleaning up my diet a bit during the week and saving treats and alcohol for weekends only (and sparingly with the treats even then!) The thing about indulging is this: you can do it a whole lot less than you think, and I say no way more than I really want to when yummy things come my way. BUT, I feel better about myself when I do, and my weight and general well being almost never changes. So, I guess it’s working? ANYWAY, wine tonight!
Hope you have a great weekend, friends!
