I feel like Nordstrom always tends to have a sale when I have no plans of buying anything new. They are so tricky like that! Here I am, just CASUALLY browsing my favorite online shops when I pop onto Nordstrom.com and see that all of my favorite things are on sale. So I buy the things I’ve been eyeing for months, and purchase what will be my Christmas present from my husband (…that’s how we roll and it works. Ha!)
Here’s what I’ve been eyeing, and buying, lately.
I was looking at this bag (in Latte) back in the Summer when trying to find an investment piece for my birthday. Here’s how it works in my household: we both come up with what we want for our respective birthdays/Father’s Day/Mother’s Day/Anniversaries/etc, and then we just get it and open it on that day. There are often other surprises, but most likely I know exactly what I am getting and I love that. Life is too short to wish for something and not get it, you know? ANYWAY, I ended up getting another bag, so for Christmas I decided to get the Rebecca Minkoff Regan satchel because it is now 25% off (regular price $325, now $243!), and bargains mean BUY NOW and open later;)
I think I mentioned that I had bought this Free People tunic a couple of weeks ago at full price via their site ($108 I think?) It was an investment for me, but one I thought was worth it. THEN I saw it on sale for $76 during the Nordstrom sale and immediately ordered it and returned the first. That’s a 40% savings!
Then, like a rational adult I bought this coral colored Free People tunic, also on sale, and got TWO tops for the price of one in the same order. Because two things are always better than one, especially when they are on sale. HA.
Question: do you ever buy stuff on sale even though you thought you needed NOTHING else?
