It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to have long, healthy hair. Typically I sabotage myself. I get it long, then abuse it with dye, or I get the urge to chop it (which I ALWAYS regret.) I feel my best with long hair, I feel it suits my face and lifestyle and I just feel PRETTIER that way, you know? I’ve been using (and selling!) Monat’s haircare line since November and I can see and feel the difference. It’s softer and shinier, it takes less time to style, and I use less products to make it look great. My favorites? The Replenishing hair mask, which I use as a conditioner when I wash my hair 3x/week, and the Rejuvenique oil. Both really quench my hair with moisture and I would never go without. I use the mask after I shampoo (with Monat’s Balance shampoo), and I let it sit on for about 5 minutes before rinsing in cool water. The softness and shine is NUTS! The oil I use on my hair right before I use my straightener, it makes my hair so silky. I also use it on my face day and night, and on my hands. Bonus! I put the oil in the part of my hair on my scalp the night before I am going to work out and then wash my hair the next day. It moisturizes without being oily, and makes my scalp feel awesome. (Fun fact: there are 600 drops of oil in each bottle, a little goes a long way! A bottle lasts me 2+ months.)

I finally bit the bullet after nearly two years and bought this Free People tunic in black. It was worth the wait! I love that I can wear it all year long, with jeans a sweater or over my bathing suit.
When I got my feather tattoo last Fall, my tattoo artist had mentioned how cool it would be to have a third one sort of drifting down from the other two. I had originally only gotten the one, then the second after I pondered it a bit more (I like to take my time deciding!), and now that I’ve been thinking about it for about six months I think I will get the third one. I’ve been pinning different feather on my Pinterest tattoo board and I’ve narrowed down couple of designs. I like a feather that looks alive, with feathers that are wispy and look they they are really falling. I like a black and white palette and hope to get it in the next couple of months.
What do YOU think? Do you think I should get a third feather?
The other day I was in a rush to pick up my kids for school and grabbed the first jacket I saw. When I looked down I noticed I had leopard shoes on, too, which seems a little bit nuts to me! I’m not a real matchy matchy person, so I felt a bit crazy walking around in this look. I tend to try to own it when it comes to out of the box looks, but this was a little outside my comfort zone. Ha.
Tell me, what was the last embarrassing outfit you wore? (I once wore my slippers out to the library with my kids…;)
