Can you believe Christmas is only 8 days away? Gah! I just finished up my shopping the other day (PRAISE HANDS), so all I need to do now is wrap everything. This is the time every year where I remember that I don’t need to panic and that I always get it all done no matter how stressed I start to feel in November. Remind me of this next year, k?
But I digress….
Let’s talk outfit formulas!
Wait, what is an outfit formula again? HA. An outfit formula is a proven outfit that you look and feel good in that you can repeat over and over again with different pieces from your closet. I have a couple of them, but my most worn right now involves a gray tunic type top + ripped denim + cute boots. That’s it!
Outfit formulas don’t have to be crazy difficult or groundbreaking, they just have to be outfits that you feel your best in.
I like to start with my basic formula, and then add-on other things if I am feeling more festive (lipstick, more jewelry, etc), or just leave as in if I am busy (my go to.) Since my actual clothes tend to be really neutral, I will add in fun or different boots, or a trendier looking bag or tote. Nothing crazy, mind you, but those are good places to add interest.
Right now I’m loving these buckle boots you see in the pic below (I bought them in black, too!)
If you follow me over on Instagram, you know I’m obsessed with these off white booties (they make every outfit better IMO!)
The thermal I’m wearing above is my fave right now, I love that I can wear it with jeans or leggings!
My fave ripped denim that I have in three colors are all from Abercrombie, and all on major sale right now. I like them better than my designer denim that I paid WAAAAAAY more for…
Also, on a gray tunic top rant, this Free People sweater went on sale for $50 less than regular price and I snagged it in a size small. http://bit.ly/2QtsMw9
If you live in a colder climate, interesting jackets and hats are the BEST to spice up a look. I’m a huge fan of having a pretty big coat wardrobe, and faux fur are my favorite to rock in the cold. If I still lived in Michigan, you can bet I’d have this teddy coat.
Finally, I was looking at QVC.com the other day and saw that they had a pre-sale for the Beachwaver curling iron. I have been wanting one FOREVER, and when QVC does a Today’s Special Value, the price on the product is insane. I picked up the one with the 1 inch barrel, you can find it here: http://bit.ly/2QTTugR
Merry Christmas to ME;)
