How on EARTH is it April? I feel like this past month flew by and now all of a sudden my kids only have two more months of school left, and then my daughter will be a middle schooler (I’m in denial.) YIKES. However, the weather has been gorgeous here in Alabama and I am almost done with my Spring/Summer capsule wardrobe, I will share that here soon!
My March intentions were pretty simple, which really worked for me. I like to me really intentional about my time and how I direct my vision. I have been concentrating on building my email list this year and that has been really wonderful for me personally and professionally. I really pour myself into the content there and I get the most feedback as well. Between both of them I feel like I get to talk about my big passions in life. I do some life coaching and personal growth talks in my Health + Wellness newsletter, and I get to flex my stylist and shopping expertise for my Style newsletter people. It truly fills my cup to write daily and to help inspire women in any way I can.

Both of my newsletters go out every Sunday morning at 8am, and I also do weekly giveaways that are only available to my newsletter subscribers. Yay!
April Intentions
- This past month has been a little heavy shopping wise for me, as I have been finishing up my Spring/Summer capsule wardrobe planning. My shopping definitely come in spurts, and sometimes I have to do a little more restriction to get back to a feeling of “enough.” I feel that need now, so I am going to set the intention to only buy 4 things in April. I don’t like all out shopping bans for more than a week at a time, so this works for me in that it forces me to be really, really intentional. I am typically pretty intentional, but I can also get into the trap of “more for the sake of more,” so this is good for me. My rules for this is just to restrict myself to 4 personal purchases, restocking things I use daily doesn’t count (shampoo, mascara, etc..), but anything extra DOES count. I don’t actually need much of anything, but I am waiting for a few items to go on sale that will complete my capsule closet for the season.
- I spoke above about my newsletters, and my big goal in 2019 is to grow them both. I plan on running a weekly giveaway in April for my subscribers (I switch between them both!), and just spoil my people in there. So 4 giveaways in April, where I will pick winners from my email lists.
- Lastly, I am going to do a free mini e-course on How To Start a Capsule Wardrobe and have that ready for my subscribers (I already completed an extensive, paid one that will launch later!) I wanted to make a smaller, completely free version and just spoil and serve those that come to me for help on a daily basis. This course will get you where you need to be to start your Capsule Wardrobe journey, and lead you to my bigger version if that feels like something you would be called to do.
That’s it! We have a big month with baseball and softball season in full swing, and most of my personal time goes to that right now! #momlife. As always, I’m over on Instagram and stories sharing my day with all of you, come say hi!
