I may have gone a little overboard with Amazon this month, but in my defense, (HA!) there was just a lot of good stuff I found! The thing with Amazon is, if you have the patience to read reviews (I do) and if you read other blogs for reference (I do!), you can find some really good stuff. It’s kind of like going down a rabbithole, you go there for one thing and just keep clicking the suggested items, and then all of a sudden you can find some hidden gems. Here are some of those gems I found!
If you’ve read this blog for a hot minute, you KNOW I am obsessed with kimonos. They are the perfect add-on to to spice an outfit up! I typically wear more neutral ones, but this leopard one caught my eye and I had to have it. (It also comes in a ton of other patterns.) I’ve been in a leopard faze lately, I have this leopard suit and these sandals, so why not add in a kimono?! I love how this one is a bit shorter, and it is so lightweight. I sized up to a medium so it would flow better. It’s been nice with the southern summer heat because I can add anlayer and not die of heatstroke lol.
This dress is so gorgeous in person! I’ve been wearing it casually just out and about with my kids, and I don’t feel too dressy in it, but it can be dressed up! This would also be beautiful for brides to be, or expecting mama’s for bridal showers (it stretches!) It is lined to the knee and fits true to size. I am wearing this strapless bralette underneath.
Another dress that feels SO GOOD on! It is made out of a lightweight tee shirt material and just floats around you when you walk. I wore this to my husband’s Father’s Day dinner and got a lot of compliments on it! It also comes in a ton of colors and would be perfect for casual to dressier occasions this summer! I wore these slip shorts underneath because the fabric is thinner and I wanted it to look smooth. I want to order this in another color…
I heard about this tanning mitt kit from Jenn over at The Sister Studio and this thing is a GAMECHANGER. I’ve always suggested applying self tanner with a mitt, but only ever bought the basic ones at Ulta. This one is so much better! It comes with an exfoliating mitt (that is THE best, it really exfoliates and is part of why this kit is so good), the mitt to apply tanner to your body, and a face mitt (which I don’t use, but it is nice.) This tanning mitt is like the Ferrari of tanning mitts! Can I sound any more enthusiastic?! I have had the smoothest looking self tan and zero mistakes or streaks since using it. I use it to apply self tanner from my toes to my neck ( I use this on my face), and it is so soft. You just buff the self tanner in and it feels like silk. If you buy one thing from this list, but this.
I written about self tanner before (How to Apply Self Tanner Like a Pro and Tanwise vs. St Tropez), but this is the first time trying this self tanner in the Dark shade, I’ve just always tried the Classic or Express kind (which are both really good and work really well!) But, this time of year I want to be really tan, like “she went to a vacation in Mexico” tan…without going in the sun. This totally delivers. I apply it with the dream mitt above and it gives a super dark tan. My skin tone is medium and tans well on its own, so the dark looks pretty normal on me. If you are very pale this might be too much for you. I love this for the summer months, though, and it just makes me feel so good! I get complimented when I have this tan freshly applied, and use it 1-2 times per week.
I ordered this book off of the recommendation of Lauryn from The Skinny Confidential, and I read a page each morning. It is dated for the year, and you start it on the day you get it (don’t start on page 1.) It has a short passage that you read and it gives you something to think about and reflect on. I read it after I journal during my morning routine, and I have enjoyed it!
