My July Trunk Club came and I am so excited to show you what was in it, what I thought, and don’t forget to get my free guide on how YOU can build a wardrobe of uniforms below (Trunk Club can help with this!)
A quick update on what Trunk Club is for those that are new….
Trunk Club is a subscription styling service via Nordstrom where you sign up and tell a stylist online exactly what you are looking for, and they send you a box of things to try at home. Your stylist will look at your Pinterest boards to get an idea of what you enjoy, as well as ask you many, many questions about what you are looking for. The key is to be very specific about your needs. For $25 the stylist adds things to your box, you approve them before they ship (she then takes stuff out and adds more), and ships it to you. The $25 goes towards anything you buy in the box. If you have a Nordstrom card (I do not), this $25 fee is waived.

I’ve been so intrigued by bodysuits this summer (so easy to wear with cutoffs or jeans!), but haven’t found one that felt just right. This Free People one was awesome, it had a ruffled overlay with the bodysuit underneath, and looked equally as adorable with my fave jean shorts as it did these Madewell jeans (which I purchased from my May Trunk Club Box!) These gorgeous heels also came in the box, and I thought they were cute, but were way too high for this particular mama;) I would also totally throw on flip flops and wear this outfit out and about with my kids running errands.
This outfit had two things from the box, this lime green bodysuit (not my fave, honestly, it just wasn’t for me,) and this adorable Something Navy skirt. I loved the fit and look of this skirt! It isn’t like anything I own, and that is what I loved about it. I would style it with a knotted band tee and these Sole Society wedges for a night out, or simple sandals for running errands with my kids. I’ve tried on tons of bodysuits and haven’t found one I loved yet (though the one in the first pic is near perfect…) I am still looking!
Another outfit that is so outside of my normal look, but so fun! Again, Trunk Club is great because it gives you options you might not have thought of before. These shorts were SO CUTE, I’d love to wear them on vacation! I wore this top with it (I’ll talk about it more below), and thought it looked fun with espradrilles and my Target woven bag. I felt very pulled together in this look!
So this very basic tank came in my Trunk and I side eyed it HARD, mostly because it was so basic. But! I was wrong! It is the perfect layering piece! It hugged the body, had a good weight to it (not see through or flimsy,) and I LOVED it with these shorts! If you are looking for a basic tank that isn’t flimsy and holds you in, this one is awesome. It’s the grown up version of those ribbed tanks I used to buy by the dozen from Old Navy 100 years ago. Ha.
This dress, you guys. I would have kept it if I had something to wear it to! It felt a little too dressy for my regular life (working from home,) with the puffed sleeves and all. I loved it, though! All I know is that I want to be the type of person who has a lunch meeting and shows up wearing this! I look very fancy, yes? lol
Okay, so here is this ruffled top again, but styled more the way I would wear it, with my fave distressed American Eagle jeans! This top was gorgeous, with very pretty details. It was pricey and very thin, you’d need a nude tank under it, but so SO pretty. I loved the concept of this top, just not the price, honestly.
These Madewell sunglasses came in the Trunk, and while I don’t really need them (and felt like they were too small for my face shape,) they were great quality. It’s really fun to try out new styles that I don’t get to see as I don’t live near a Madewell store.
I love leopard on anything and thought these sandals were very cute, but I have a pair already that were cheaper, and these were a little small for me (I’d size a 1/2 size up!)
I wore these gorgeous sandals in a picture above, but wanted to show a close up view! They had beautiful wooden heels, and the leather straps were the prettiest pink/apricot color. They were a little too high, though, and my foot felt uncomfortable at that pitch. If you can handle higher heels, these sure were pretty!
This belt was beautiful, and I completely forgot to wear it with any outfit! I have been intrigued by Rachel’s brand and have seen her wear this belt on her Instagram page a lot. It is beautiful quality and would be really pretty belted around a pretty dress to accentuate the waist. I was pleased with the quality!
