My August Trunk Club came and I am so excited to show you what was in it, what I thought!
A quick update on what Trunk Club is for those that are new….
Trunk Club is a subscription styling service via Nordstrom where you sign up and tell a stylist online exactly what you are looking for (my stylist is awesome!), and they send you a box of things to try at home. Your stylist will look at your Pinterest boards to get an idea of what you enjoy, as well as ask you many, many questions about what you are looking for. The key is to be very specific about your needs. For $25 the stylist adds things to your box, you approve them before they ship (she then takes stuff out and adds more), and ships it to you. The $25 goes towards anything you buy in the box. If you have a Nordstrom card (I do not), this fee is waived. Let’s get into what was in my box, and at the end I’ll give you a link to my FREE guide on how to make Trunk Club successful for you!
Also, you can sign up for Trunk Club (and my specific stylist!) HERE.
You can see me try on these clothes via the highlights section on my Instagram profile, under Trunk Club!
Okay, let’s do this!

I loved this jumpsuit, it had real working buttons up the front, and an adorable tie waist, it was just a little too small. I would size up one as this brand tends to run smaller, in my opinion! Also, this kimono (it is labeled as a wrap top!) is gorgeous! It buttons up the front and could be belted for a cute look. The quality was gorgeous and I loved the length and sleeves. It is pricey, so if you are looking for a bargain this wouldn’t work for you;) Also, these Rebecca Minkoff sandals are on sale and look so cute! I didn’t find them to be the most comfortable, the top felt a little plastic-y. They looks good, though!

Two of my favorites! So I side eyed these shorts SO HARD when I took them out of the package. They looked straight out of the 80’s closet of my youth lol, but then I put them on and loved them! They are ridiculously comfortable and just so freakin cute! I kept them! (They also come in different colors, and a jean style, too.) And this Free People top was another winner. It fit like a body suit, but didn’t have the annoying feel of a bodysuit (I have YET to find a comforable one!) I think this would be a cute date night outfit, or a cute look for a fun girls trip I have coming up.

I wanted to style the Free People top with my fave pair of skinny jeans, and felt so good in this outfit. Again, a great date night look and I think it would work for so many fun things I have coming up. These jeans came in a previous Trunk Club box and may be my favorite skinny jeans ever? They are super high waisted and suck you in, yet stretch and feel so comfortable on. They are tru to size.
I loved this with my Stella & Dot leopard clutch, Everything Hoop earrings, and my mustard colored Old Navy heels.

Graphic tee (left); graphic tee (right); Jeans; Sandals (left); sandals (right)
I had asked my stylist for some graphic tees to play with, as they are such a staple in my closet, and she sent me these. I style them with my fave ripped boyfriend jeans, this is a pretty realistic look at my daily mom uniform. Both tees were butter soft, and true to size, though the one on the right was a closer fit (I prefer a looser fit!)

Okay, so this top was a total surprise to me! It looks orange here because of the preset I use when I edit my photos, but in real life it is a true poppy red color. The sleeves were SO FUN, I may snag this as an option for two trips I have coming up. It was just different and fun, you know? Just be careful when you are reaching for anything as the bell sleeves are AGGRESSIVE and will be in the way constantly lol. I loved it styled with my Madewell jeans, leopard clutch, and the contast of my mustard colored bock heels.

This skirt was another surprise to me! I would probably size up one as I felt like a busted can of biscuits in it, but the denim was butter soft and it came in a black color, too. I’d love to style it with a slouchy sweater and ankle boots when the weather gets cooler!

Another pair of shorts that I loved! These are the third pair of Topshop shorts I have tried and I have loved them all. I called these my “business shorts,” because they can be dressed up to look professional. The fabric was so soft and comfortable, and the details were great in person. I loved it styled with the Free People top I talked about above, and my favorite Sole Society wedges. These shorts were true to size!

Another skirt (I had asked for more skirt options!) The pattern and fit were cute, but I didn’t feel as if the style fit my closet or personality (though I loved it paired with the graphic tee from earlier!) I would have tried a different pair of shoes for sure.

And lastly, the Topshop shorts styled a bit more casual with a graphic tee and sandals, as well as dressier. These shorts would work in a business casual environment, and I’d love to see it paired with a blazer and heels!
