Real talk…so I was about to post my week 3 outfits this week and feel all good about myself for being so ON IT, until I remembered I never even wrote about or posted my week 2 outfits! Oh well! A week or so late but here they are!
I realize in the world of retail and online everybody seems to have moved onto Fall, but where I live we have at least 3 more months of Summer weather left, and even those of us in more Northern climates have about one. So I am going to go against the grain and keep rolling with warm weather outfits! I outlined in this post that I am doing a month long Capsule Wardrobe challenge where I am taking about 30-ish pieces and created about 20 outfits with them. Nothing fancy or crazy, this is real life over here, but I wanted to show that can live with a bit less and make cute, affordable looks without a ton of stuff. I am showing these looks daily over in my Instastories, and sharing them in real time on my Shop My Look page, so head on over to those two spots if you like instant gratifcation!
If you would like further details as to how I choose outfits, how I shop, and the EXACT system I use to create my capsule wardrobe, you can purchase my email course HERE. It’s called Your Simplified Closet, and it outlines how to stop the madness when it comes to shopping, getting dressed, and that overwhelmed feeling you get when you walk into a store and have no idea what looks good. If you like step by step instructions that you can use over and over again FOREVER, you’ll love my course.

I have yet to find a piece of clothing in this mustard color that I don’t love! It is one of the only pops of color I typically wear in my ‘mostly neutral’ Simplified Closet, and I love it. I grabbed this dress during a sale at Old Navy and have since worn it a couple of different ways. It is so soft and fits loose and swing-y. I am wearing my typical size small and it is true to size. I loved it with a pair of espradrilles and my FAVE kimono, ever!
Wearing the Heart Lock bracelet and the Jacinthe bracelet (love these both so much!)

I think I have worn this dress at least once a week since I bought it? Another Old Navy dress bought on sale and with coupons, I am a sucker for polka dots! This dress is so easy to wear in the hotter months, I love it worn simply with sandals and minimal jewelry. I am wearing a size small and it is true to size. It is only lined on the top (Old Navy seems to be skimping on lining dresses lately!), so wear either these slipshorts or nude underwear.
Wearing this Kari necklace, it is a 2-1 necklace and I usually separate it and wear just this longer part.

“When in doubt, throw a kimono on over it.”<—-my life mantra! I loved how colorful and fun this kimono made this outfit! This one is old, but I will link some similar ones below in the widget. I just layered it over my daily uniform of a graphic tank and denim shorts (see free resource at the bottom of this post!), and threw on my new leopard slip on mules that I bought in the snakeskin pattern, too! Everything is true to size, except I sized up 1 in the shorts for fit and length, and I size up in the tanks as they are junior sizing and I hate tight things!
Wearing the Reversible Huggie Earrings in gold, an awesome ‘everyday’ earring!

The outfit I wear when I want to be super comfortable and chill! This graphic tank is a fave, I wear it 2-3 times a week, honestly. I size up 1-2 sizes because I like it loose, and typically wear this bralette underneath. These joggers are EVERYTHING, they are the Anybody line from QVC and are the softest pants ever. I often sleep in them if I am feeling lazy enough. They are also nice enough to dress up! I have had them several years and they look the same as the day I bought them. I am wearing the XS. As for the rose gold birks’, I ended up grabbing the narrow version as the regular ones looked like skis on my feet. Note, my feet are on the wider side, so don’t be scared of the narrow ones. They fit great!

The easiest outfit of them all. These three items are faves of mine. The tee is buttery soft, I own it in two colors. It is true to size (I am wearing the small,) and fits PERFECTLY. These shorts I have in two colors (the medium ripped wash (above), and the acid wash version in the picture at the beginning of this post.) I love these shorts so much! I sized up one size for both fit and length as my true size felt too small. And these $10 Birkenstock dupe sandals have been the best! They are as comfortable as my real ones and look just as good. I really love the white color and I wear them a ton.
Wearing the Everything Hoops, I am obsessed!
