Oh hi! I realize in the world of retail and online everybody seems to have moved onto Fall, but where I live we have at least 3 more months of Summer weather left, and even those of us in more Northern climates have about one. So I am going to go against the grain and keep rolling with warm weather outfits! I outlined in this post that I am doing a month long Capsule Wardrobe challenge where I am taking about 30-ish pieces and created about 20 outfits with them. Nothing fancy or crazy, this is real life over here, but I wanted to show that can live with a bit less and make cute, affordable looks without a ton of stuff. I am showing these looks daily over in my Instastories, and sharing them in real time on my Shop My Look page, so head on over to those two spots if you like instant gratifcation!
If you would like further details as to how I choose outfits, how I shop, and the EXACT system I use to create my capsule wardrobe, you can purchase my email course HERE. It’s called Your Simplified Closet, and it outlines how to stop the madness when it comes to shopping, getting dressed, and that overwhelmed feeling you get when you walk into a store and have no idea what looks good. If you like step by step instructions that you can use over and over again FOREVER, you’ll love my course.
This jumpsuit from Target has been THE best thing ever and is my go to when I want to be the most comfortable person, ever. It was sold out for the longest time, but them came back in two other colors! I am going to snag the camo option next because I have a couple of trips coming up that I think it would be perfect for. I sized up to a medium because I don’t like tight things. I layer it over tanks and tees and think it is the cutest thing.
I wore this for our trip to the Atlanta Aquarium with my family! It was super hot, and I wantd the simplest thing to wear ever. (See a theme here?) This tee I have is 3 years old and I am still obsessed with it, so I will link two other similar options for you. If you read here a lot you will know that these shorts are a staple of mine, these are the “acid wash” version and I wear them almost every day. I size up one for fit and length. My crossbody bag is a couple of years old and was a bday present. I have a couple of Rebecca Minkoff bags and love how they can be worn casually and more dressed up.
We went out to dinner that night to a really fun hibachi place that was in a real train car, and had the best time! My son and I have birthdays that are five days apart, so we were in Atlanta celebrating both. I wore this Amazon dress in a size medium, I have worn it several times and always get compliments on it. I am wearing a size medium, but could have gotten away with a small. It is stretchy so the size doesn’t matter a whole ton, I think. I am wearing this bandeau bra underneath that I have had forever and always works under dresses or tops like these.
For my birthday we went to Stone Mountain, it was so fun! We took the tram up and then hiked down, plus played mini golf, did a ropes course, basically all of the things. I am wearing this workout top that I have in probably 6 colors? It is from Amazon and comes in a pack of three for about $20 and are AMAZING.
That night we celebrated by bday at the best Italian restuurant. Food is my family’s love language, so we had the best time, and then walked and got gelatto after. I wore this under $17 Amazon dress that I am OBSESSED with (I am wearing a size medium), with my go to Sole Society wedges and Stella & Dot Everything Hoops (linked above.) It was the perfect dress to hide my food baby lol.
Back to reality for this chick;) These jeans have been a favorite of mine since I bought them in the Spring, and I am considering buying another pair in case something happens to these! They have been a best seller on this blog for months, and for good reason. They are true to size, I am wearing a size 6 and they start out tight and then loosen A LOT. This outfit is a tried and true “uniform” for me, I love a graphic tank//tee with denim and fun accessories!
