This past weekend my daughter and I went to the Nutrcacker (a tradition for us!), and then my husband surprised me with another party for his office that he forgot to tell me about. Ha! Luckily, I have a few things in my closet that I collect and can bring out for different occasions. Some are new, and some I squirrel away just waiting for an occasion to arise! (I’ll give you simialr options to shop for if anything is too old to link.)
On Saturday I wasn’t sure what I wanted to wear to the Nutcracker, so I tried on all of the things! I tend to have an idea of what I might wear, but depending on my mood, will change a bunch of times until something feels right. Anyone else? I also love going with unexpected colors this time of year. Leopard, hot pink, mustard yellow, I guess I just like being a little different!
Here is what I tried on and considered….
Some holiday outfit ideas!

Outfit 1: How fun is this? I realize I may look a little “Peggy Bundy,” and I don’t care lol. I grabbed this Get Obsessed leopard tunic at dressedinlala.com and it is so soft and easy to wear. I bought a medium and should have bought a small, but I found it also looks good half tucked. I am wearing it with my ride or die Spanx faux leather leggings (in medium) and the heels I bought in two colors (size down 1/2 a size, these have a great, medium heel height.) I actually wore this Sunday to a Christmas party (my husband took his time telling me about lol) with my black Madewell skinny jeans and ankle boots!
Here is another super cute leopard dress that I am regretting not buying!
And this one!

Outfit 2: I bought this dress a year ago from Shop Ashley Lemieux and have been waiting for a opportunity to wear it! I thought this weekend was the day, but ultimately decided on another outfit. This dress is no longer available, but here is a similar option, on sale!
Here is another hot pink dress option!
Oooh! Love this shorter version!

Outfit 3: This is what I ended up wearing to the Nutcracker!! I now own this jumpsuit in two colors, and I love how versatile it is depending on how you style it. Right now it is 50% off! I am wearing a size four and it fits true to size and it is so flattering. I styled it with a pair of leopard boots (similar) and a lace kimono (similar.)
See my baby and I all dressed for the ballet! Love this girl to pieces!
