This is 40. 🤗
I’ve been anticipating this birthday for so long now, it feels good to have it be here. Forty feels blessed + grateful + amazing.
If I coud give any advice to my (and your) younger self, whether that be 5, 10, or 20 years younger, it would be…
LOVE YOURSELF. Let go of what other people think you should be. Let go of who YOU think you should be. Just love who you are in this moment.
I know 20 years from now I won’t care about my pants size, how much money I had in my bank account, or how far my kitchen renovation has to go. I know when I think back now I struggle to remember just about anything from twenty years ago. I just remember the good, honestly. The friends and family and all the good times I had, plus any struggles I had just look like accomplishments from here.
Life is about appreciating what we do have, being present in where we are now, and just enjoying the hell out of even the most mundane days, that at some point in time, will fade away. The days and details fade, but the gratefullness never does. 🙏🏻
If you could age yourself 20 years and look back, what would you tell yourself?
