Oh hey there! It’s been awhile since I have shared a straight up outfit post, and I am dedicated to writing more short form content on here, more regularly. I really enjoy it (and I hope you, do, too!) Today I’m sharing a few outfits I have worn over the past few weeks, which admittedly are a bit more dressier than most weeks, with my birthday and a surprise girl’s weekend to Traverse City thrown in. Most days I’m in jeans and a tee, or workout clothes, but it is fun to dress up and remember what it is like to leave the house dressed, with a purpose.
Here are some outfits I have worn lately!
This is a pretty accurate outfit for me these days! I love the simplicity of a white tee and denim. This tee was a quick buy at Target, and for the price (maybe $9?) the quality is nice. I am in the small and it fits oversized. And these shorts have been on repeat since late Spring for me. They are the ripped 90’s shorts and I love the color and the fit, thought the rips are getting pretty aggressive. I have found with constant wear that the pockets ride up and show a lot of skin and there are several rips in the thigh and by my hips that show skin through. I might have my friend sew the pockets down for me and add some patches.
And my glasses are from Glasses USA and are prescription! I’m obsessed, you can find them HERE.
Gosh this was a good day! Exploring wineries with friends and just enjoying being away and in one of my favorite places on earth. This dress is from my fave online boutique, Dressed in Lala, and is no longer available. She has new arrivals every Friday at noon and they sell out fast, it is worth following on Instagram and setting an alarm if you love something. I am wearing this dress in medium and just love everything about it. And these sandals have been my most worn for 3 years now? They work with everything and are so comfortable. The cost per wear is probably $0 by now, lol. I also have the rubber version in white and wear them just as much! They are light as air and I’ll probably grab a black pair for next summer.

I shared this outfit last week because I love it so! This Everlane tank is one of my first purchases from this brand and I love the quality. I am wearing the size small and the fit is generous. I love it on it’s own for now, and how it will look layered under cardigans in the Fall. And these jeans! They have stretch in them, and are so much more comfortable than the rigid ones I have from the same brand (which I love, but they just don’t give an inch.) The rise on these are high, and just tuck everything in. They are almost as comfortable as leggings;)
I’m also wearing two new Stella & Dot necklaces that look so good with simple looks like these! I chat about them more below.
I’ve been needing a few new pieces of workout wear for yoga/pilates videos at home, and for simple walks. I have a lot of stuff for CrossFit style workouts but not a lot for this newer season of life where I try to figure out how I want to move my body since we have moved. I ordered these leggings after being influenced by a fellow blogger, and when they arrived I almost died! Before you put them on they look like baby clothes, I thought there was NO WAY they would fit, but they do! I bought the small, but could have done a medium as well. I like a tighter fit on leggings so they don’t slide down or roll at the waist. I was scared a bit when they showed up and both leg looks like the size of one of my thighs. Ha.
I also like this simple, shelf bra tank. I am wearing a medium and could have done a large, but I am larger chested and I often need a bit more wiggle room. I got it in two colors, the brown and the black. I do wish it was a bit shorter in length, but it does the job. (I’m eyeing this shorter Amazon version next!)
I love how comfortable this outfit is for working at home and errands! These shorts have an elastic waistband and feel like sleep shorts, but the chambray fabric is soft and easy to wear. I am wearing a medium as it is a junior’s brand, but should have gotten the large if I wanted them to fit they like do on the model. And the Everlane tank that looks good with everything! I think I wore it 3 days last week.
I’ve owned and worn this dress for 5+ years now and I get complimented every single time I wear it! I always feel like I should be on the Italian Riviera when I have it on, yet it looks good at the grocery store, hanging at home, or dressed up for a date night. It’s perfection. I’ve seen this dress style at several stores over the years and I linked them above. I have also had a reader mention they found this exact dress on Poshmark, so there’s that!
For my birthday I usually like to buy a new outfit for myself to wear on that day. I saw this on Jennifer back in June and knew that this dress was the ONE. I bought it in the middle of a move and a renovation, and got to wear it twice in one week, on my actual birthday and to dinner on my girl’s trip. It is light and airy and feels like a dream on. I am wearing the small and it fit true to size for me.
You know I love me some Stella & Dot jewels, and these necklaces were waiting at home for me after my trip! Layering gold necklaces is trendy right now, and I love how it spices up a simple look. The Heritage Coin Pendant is fun because it can be worn to look like two different lengths (like above,) or be unlooped as one long pendant as well. The Delicate Short Charm Keeper is also so fun (and my fave.) It’s really lightweight, and you can wear it alone or clip charms to it (this is so fun!!) I haven’t taken it off since I got it and I wear it showering, working out, etc.
