Today, let’s let good enough be good enough.
Between not feeling great last week, not being able to help my kid with 7th grade algebra (it looked like another language you guys…), getting mad at my son because he signed out of Google classroom and I had no idea how to get him back in, and basically failing technology in general because it’s freaking HARD, it has been a week. I couldn’t do 75% of what I had planned last week because my body told me “HELL NO, you are resting whether you want to or not.”
I know I am not alone. I didn’t really do anything well (except heat up some yummy Trader Joe’s meals…), but that’s okay. This world right now is a learning process and everyone dealing with kids and school right now, no matter what the circumstance, is figuring it all out as we go.
So let’s let good enough BE good enough.
Let’s celebrate the little wins. Family dinners + cool September days + sunshine + being able to do Fall sports again. I’m working on being comfortable with B- work some days and looking for the silver lining in all situations. I’m grateful that I can be home because so many can’t, and that we have the technology to do it all, and that at the end of the day we all get to be together, figuring it all out.
