I’ve been OBSESSED with smoothies lately. I recently purchased a Nutribullet and so far it is the best $80 I have spent in a long time! I haven’t had a reliable way to make smoothies in years, so this has been a game changer. That, and the fact I don’t really love breakfast, (but need something to fuel me for the gym) means this has been the best ever.
Here is what I put in mine!
2 large handfuls of kale
1 tablespoon of chia or flax seeds
1 tablespoon of almond butter
1 cup frozen banana
2 scoops chocolate protein powder.
I then add water to the fill line and mix for a minute or so. It is so filling and creamy! I make a smaller one for my daughter for breakfast (I just use less kale and add strawberries instead of banana, and vanilla protein powder instead of chocolate.) She loves it because she doesn’t love breakfast that much, either, and this fills her up for school.
I’ve made this smoothie every morning for the past two weeks or so and I never tire of it. I’ve also heard of adding probiotics or collagen powder as well for an extra boost.
