When I’m not wearing lipstick I like to play up my eyes with a fun, colored eyeliner. Urban Decay make my favorite kind, I just picked up a sparkly Hunter green and I use my dark purple a lot, too. NYX makes a less expensive eyeliner with a great color pay off as well! I have an aqua blue and a navy blue that really pop, and they’re only $4.50.
This cuddly and soft Free People sweater in the palest pink is on its way to me from Nordstrom. I’ll keep you posted on how it fits and feels!
I can’t wait for this navy cardigan to arrive in the mail as well, I think it looks like the perfect topper for any outfit, especially in the colder months.
I just bought my daughter a pair of these Uggs in pale grey. I got them for her a little big so she can wear them for longer…(I hope!) They seem like the perfect shoe for her in the colder months here, and look cute with yoga pants and dresses. (Note, she has the real Uggs and I have a knock off pair…oh how times have changed;)
This Free People lace tunic is on backorder, but I can’t even handle how beautiful it is. Is it December 1st yet…(when it ships!)
Tell me, have you bought anything fun lately? Do share!
Here it where my heart is happy…
I need it like I need water and air.
An internal life, with plenty of time spent alone with my thoughts, is where a lot of my balance comes from. It’s where I recharge and become the best ME, where I become a better mother, wife, and friend. It is essential and necessary.
Tell me, do you need plenty of alone time to recharge, or do you prefer the company of others?
I blogged a look similar to this once and really liked it, so when I found this top hidden in the back of my closet I decided to recreate it! This Forever 21 top/dress is a favorite of mine. It is silky and loose and makes me feel really cute. Who doesn’t want that? I am eyeing a similar one from Free People that has really caught my eye, too! Also, these flats from Nordstrom are so fun and on trend, and work for me equally in my personal life as well as for work!
Finally, this Rocksbox (Kendra Scott) turquoise necklace above is something I’m debating on keeping. It’s $64, is that worth it? Help me!
*Let’s be honest here, too! A splurge for me is any shoe over $30, a bag that is over $50, and clothes over $40 or so. Each of us have a number in our head that constitutes a splurge or save item, mine tends to hover around anything not from Target being a splurge;)
I also consider anything leopard to be a classic (see story above!) These leopard boots from Ted and Muffy are the perfect game changing boot. They jazz up a simple outfit, work well with other patterns (LOVE mixing plaid and leopard in the Fall), and ankle boots look great with dresses and pants alike. I had a cheaper pair of leopard ankle boots, but found the pattern was off and they just looked cheap. Well done leopard is hard to find, surprisingly, and worth the money if you find the perfect pair. Sam Edelman makes a pair of their Petty boots in leopard that are similar (and a bit less expensive,) than this pair.
