(Scarf weather!)
Throughout the years I’ve gone through quite a few obsessions. I tend to love something with a passion, learn everything I can about it, gather everything I can to do it…then the obsession wanes and I move on. Clothing, hobbies, books, jobs. I immerse myself into my obsession until I can’t stand it anymore.
I won’t tell you about my Twilight obsession a few years back…
My son was going to be Bella if he was a girl. I swear.
I’ve dabbled in writing (romance novels), dancing (belly and ballet), fashion design (see multiple blank journals of outfits from childhood), aesthetician (see friends’ missing eyebrows freshman year of college), finance, day care owner, homeschooling, photographer, stylist, owner of too many shoes, wearer of ONLY twirly skirts (fourth grade.) You get the picture.
I love to learn about new things.
This blog is an obsession. Fortunately I still love it and I am still obsessed. Photography, marketing skills, fashion, building relationships, business plans. I love it all.
Which has led me to my new love. DIY blogs.
I. Love. Them.
I stay up late, hunched over my desk, my one little lamp shinning a circle of brightness over me as I scroll through pages and pages of project ideas. All of a sudden I’m brimming with visions of things to make, ways to redesign what I have, ways to make what is old new again.
P.S. I have some fun ideas for some projects in the future, stay tuned this Friday for a fun DIY plaid cape!
And I may even do this to an old, oversized sweater I don’t wear anymore.
