I found this DIY tutorial on one of my favorite blogs, P.S. I Made This and knew I had to try it. I love anything that I can picture myself sitting in a ski lodge sipping a hot toddy warm and cozy in. I am always cold in the winter and I get chilly quite easily. Let’s face it, I’m a wuss. Probably a good thing I live in the South. We won’t mention that we are most likely moving next year to somewhere cold, okay?
Anyway, I’ve lost focus.
This cape was so easy to make! I followed the directions and carefully cut where I should so it wouldn’t look like a four year old made it. The only thing I will do extra is probably have my Grandma hem it to smooth out the fraying edges.
You didn’t think I could sew, right?
My Grammie will rock this thing out in 2 seconds flat, though I may have to sweet talk her into it. She’s a feisty one.
I styled it with a sparkly belt and eternity scarf, perfect for the chillier nights (and days) ahead. I can’t wait to see the side eyes my Mr will give me when I break this sucker out. He’s a traditional guy and I so love shocking him. The last time I dressed up he thought there was a dead fox laying on the bed.
