Last week when my bestie was here and I wore sweatpants and drank wine for 12 days straight I took photo’s of my bag and what was in it as there was no way an outfit post was coming out. I even asked my four year old one day if I should do a photo shoot in my sweats and unwashed hair. She looked me up and down in scorn and said with attitude, “In that??”
Wow.
The judgement begins early, folks.
Anyway, the photo’s sat unused in my computer until I saw that the amazing Annelise from Aunie Sauce (with Katie from Lose the Cushion!) were doing a link up about “What’s in My Bag.” I knew sitting around in sweats would pay off.
Without further ado, here is what is in my bag:
As of this year I am diaper/wipes free! I used to carry all of that, plus extra bottles, formula, teething crackers, bibs, toys, etc. Now I have a bag in the back of my car that I keep a change of clothes, wipes, tissues and other things I may need on the road. Thankfully the days of kids peeing on the floor in Walmart (oh, potty training!) are over.
I carry two cosmetic bags; one full of lipsticks and one full of other random things such as mini lotions and soap, antibiotic ointment, toothpaste, eyeliner (never without!), band aids and alcohol wipes swiped from the doctor.
My wallet is not really a wallet at all, it is one of those card holder’s you buy at Target for $12. I need to get a real wallet someday. You know, the kind real women use. Maybe this one? Or this?
I switch purses often. My laundry room by the garage door has hooks on the wall where I hang the three purses I use the most. I just throw the two cosmetic bags and wallet in when I switch. I also have sunglasses (multiple) and keys that I keep those in my car.
Most days I have drinks for my kids and snacks for them if we are going out for the day. Luckily I am at the place where I don’t have to carry much for them and can have a bag that is more fashion than function.
Honorable mention: the 400 pounds of crushed goldfish and crumpled up receipt’s I find in the pockets and crevices of each bag.
