Walmart dress; c/o Just Dawntelle headband (use MOVINGSALE40 for 40% off!); c/o Musana necklace (more on this next week!)
P.S. I’m super white, no? Spray tan time? Yes.
Finally (finally!) things are getting back to normal. Or a new normal, shall I say? Most of the boxes are unpacked, the house is slowly starting to look like ours and it is nice to be back in a place where we can unpack the bags we have been living out of the past three weeks. My clothes are back! Ahhhhh, my closet and having a little variety again. The dress I’m wearing above I bought at Walmart last week out of desperation for something (anything!) new. Did you know Walmart has a bunch of really cute and really cheap maxi dresses right now? I’m talking $15.99 and under.
This morning we woke up in our house for the first time and got to eat breakfast like we did before the move. All together at the table with fresh coffee set to be ready on a timer and yummy waffles. I got to sit at the counter with my laptop for a bit after and catch up on emails while the back porch door was open and it was just amazing. Calm and relaxed for the first time in awhile. It was blissful.
It’s funny, this house doesn’t fully feel like ours yet. Our things are in it and that comforts me, but the feeling of home isn’t here yet. That takes time usually, and a new routine before I feel completely like this place is mine, ours. I usually don’t even realize the moment when I feel this way, it just happens naturally.
Next week will be the start of our new/old routine again. Going to the Y, blogging regularly, writing more and eating at home at our table like a family every night. Not to mention getting the kids back into their routines, too! The daily schedule that makes me happy and makes my kids happy and makes the world go ’round over here. I’ll take more pictures of the house and do a little home tour soon, perhaps that will motivate me to put up the picture wall I’m putting off? Does anyone know how to create a cool picture wall? Help!
