I’ve been thinking of a couple of splurge purchases lately. I’m trying to invest more in pieces I will use for a long time and there are some that I have been eyeing for a year or more. The first is the Madewell Transport Tote. I love the caramel brown color and the fact that it will go with everything. This seems like a Spring/Summer/Fall bag to me (in the Winter I tend to use a cross body bag as coats are too bulky for purses), and I love how the neutral color will ground more colorful outfits.
I’ve also been toying around with getting a Clarisonic. My face needs some TLC and I’ve been watching segments of this product on QVC forever. I’m sort of obsessed. I’ve heard the knock off Olay version is pretty good, too, I just worry that you might get what you pay for, you know? Do you have a Clarisonic? Do you like it/feel that it is worth it?
Need
My kids were looking though their baby books the other day and noticed that they were only half filled out (gasp!) I tried to be really good when they were babies and have the first two or so years of their lives documented, but slacked off majorly after that. Also, my second noticed that his sister has two additional scrapbooks of the first couple of years of her life and he doesn’t. My mission in the next month is to update their baby books using Shutterfly for pictures, and to create a photo book for Brady just for him.
Also. I must call the dentist and make appointments for cleanings for me and the kids! I am the worst slacker in this area. We were supposed to go in October. #fail
Wear
For some unnatural reason I’ve been looking online for a great retro swimsuit or two. I really want a high waisted bikini and a cute one piece (or two!) as well. I dove into the one piece pool last year and found that they are really comfortable and cute for family days in the water and they are also so comfortable. No sucking it in!

Last week I downloaded “The Aviator’s Wife: A Novel” on my Kindle and read it in about two days. It was fascinating. It’s a historical fiction story about Anne Morrow Lindbergh and her life. I’m sort of a biography nerd and love reading about history. I also tend to get obsessed with certain subjects and both Internet stalk everything I can about something and/or find more books to learn more about them. Which brings me to my current read, a biography on Anne Morrow Lindbergh, which is a true biography and is super detail oriented. I have her self help book called, “A Gift From the Sea” downloaded as well, which is apparently one of the best ones out there in terms of finding inner peace. I’ll let you know what I think after I read it.
