That’s how my daughter explains love anyway. Little fluttery hearts just EXPLODE out of her chest and shower down glitter inside. Don’t you just WISH you were five again?
I’m SURE you know, since it is pounded in our heads via Kay Jeweler’s commercials and crazy marketing, but Valentine’s Day is next week. I’m not a huge fan of celebrating this day with gifts and crazy expensive flowers, but I DO like to dress up a little and give my kids fun treats and gifts to make the day special. Holiday’s come alive when you have little ones and I think it makes you focus less on yourself and more on the festive nature of a special day.
I’m also not above treating MYSELF to a fun little trinket and some a box of chocolates;)
