My six year old daughter says that phrase to me all the time and I have NO IDEA where she got it from. Nevertheless, it’s in my head constantly and was the first thing that came to mind when editing these photos.
This past Sunday my husband had to work his 24 hour shift, which left me with two little ones just looking for me to come up with something awesome to do, and me not wanting to expend that much energy. It’s the motherhood catch 22, right? I knew I needed to do take some photos, so we compromised. I dragged them along for the ‘oh so tortuous, are you done yet, can we go NOW’ photo session, and then we went to McDonald’s for breakfast and some playtime in that germ ridden play place. They get Egg McMuffin’s and hash browns, I get a coffee and that yummy oatmeal they serve, and we are all happy. (Especially me, because NO COOKING!) I brought my computer and got to do some writing while they played in the biggest slide structure I’ve ever seen. Perfection.
After that we went to the library and checked out a zillion books for them (which stresses me out because keeping track of 35 or so books is PRESSURE), before heading home to enjoy some quiet time. I was super comfortable in my pajama like printed pants and slouchy tunic, and the kids were thrilled with their play time and new books.
Tell me, what is your version of a casual Sunday look?
