Back in 2007 when I was pregnant with my daughter I had the brilliant idea to chop all my hair off. I mean, what better time to make huge decisions than when you are hormonal and your life is about to change?
HA. (Don’t to that.)
I chopped my hair from about mid back level to just about my chin, it was a really cute bob and looked great when styled, but MAN was it high maintenance. When you have short hair you actually have to do it each day to make it look good, whereas long hair can look pretty decent with minimal effort. Having a high maintenance hair cut is NOT a good thing to have with a new baby, by the way. Lesson learned. (Though my hair looked pretty awesome in all my birth pictures due to all this maintenance, so there is that!)
Fast forward almost eight years and I have been growing my hair out ever since. I just feel more like myself with longer hair. I see all those cute “lobs” on Pinterest, and see how other gals can style their hair so awesomely with their shorter hair length, and sometimes I am tempted, but I stop myself. I’m on a mission to grow my hair even longer, and especially with my magic shampoo, I know I can get there. Until then, if I get the urge to chop it I’ll just tuck it into my sweaters and turtlenecks and keep the illusion for the day (and fool everyone around me into thinking I chopped it.)
Ta da! Magic faux haircut.
